Juggling Life, Business, and Books: The Great Return of Ametra

Hey there, lovely readers (what’s left of you)! Yes, it’s me, your friendly neighborhood author, returning from the mysterious void of silence in the blogosphere. You probably thought I’d forgotten all about you while sipping cocktails on some exotic beach, but I assure you, I’ve been up to some quite interesting shenanigans. It’s high time I gave you the lowdown on where I’ve been and what’s been brewing in the world of Ametra.

First things first, let’s address the elephant in the room — my absence. I know it’s been a long while, and I have a perfectly valid excuse, I promise! Picture this: juggling a full-time job, a small business, working on my third novel, and diving headfirst into a series of exciting new projects. Now, add a sprinkle of life’s unpredictability, and voila! You have the recipe for Ametra’s little hiatus.

But wait, let’s break it down.

The Full-Time Job: You know, the one that keeps the lights on and the fridge stocked with coffee creamer? Well, that’s been quite the adventure. Balancing the demands of the corporate world while chasing my creative dreams is like trying to do a highwire act while reciting Shakespearean soliloquies. Dramatic, right? But it’s a vital part of the Ametra saga.

The Small Business: Entrepreneurship, they say, is a rollercoaster ride. It’s also a crash course in multitasking. Managing my own little venture has been a whirlwind of excitement and challenges, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Besides, who can resist the allure of the entrepreneurial battlefield?

Novel Number Three: Ah, the beloved work-in-progress that spent some time gathering metaphorical dust. Progress on this front had slowed to a crawl, and I was starting to feel like I’d never see “The End.” But guess what? The wheels are turning again, and it’s looking like there might be a book baby arriving by the end of this year. Cue the confetti!

New Projects: Now, these have been a delightful diversion. I won’t spill all the beans just yet, but think of them as shiny, new puzzle pieces in the grand mosaic of Ametra’s creative journey. Each project has been a burst of inspiration, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

So, what about the blog, you ask? Well, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m dusting off the keyboard and resuming my regular blog posts. You heard it right! I’ve missed sharing my thoughts, stories, and misadventures with all of you, and I’m eager to reconnect.

However, before you start setting your watches to “New Ametra Blog Post” time, I have to admit that I’m a bit hesitant to commit to a strict schedule. Life has a way of throwing curveballs, and I’d hate to make promises I can’t keep. Instead, I’ll strive to share content as often as possible, with a focus on quality over quantity.

Now, let’s talk Twitter…X…whatever. Ah, the ever-chirping birdcage of the writing community. I’ve been pondering what to do about it lately. You see, it seems the winds of change are blowing, and things have been a tad quieter in my cozy corner of Twitter. But fear not, dear readers! I’m not one to abandon ship without a proper farewell. I’m just considering the best way to make Twitter work for me and all you wonderful folks who’ve joined me on this wild ride.

I will say this much though: Twitter just may be making it easier for me to decide how best to handle my account because I can no longer automatically post to my Twitter feed when I submit a blog post…

So, there you have it, a whirlwind update on the Ametra universe. I’ve been juggling life, business, and books with all the grace of a caffeinated squirrel, and I couldn’t be more excited to share what’s coming next. As always, your support and enthusiasm mean the world to me, and I can’t wait to continue this journey together.

Stay tuned for more tales, tips, and occasional shenanigans from yours truly. It’s good to be back!

Yours in creativity, chaos, and caffeination, Ametra.

P.S. — There may be a few things that start to look different around here. I’ve made a few other tweaks and still need to fully disconnect Twitter from this blog, so…
