I did it. I finished my third novel! Hey, Roomie! is officially done, polished, and prepped for release on May 5th—which means it’s time to bask in the glow of accomplishment, sip something celebratory, and… oh, wait.
Because while I was supposed to be taking a much-needed break, my brain had other plans. Apparently, it didn’t get the memo about resting, recharging, or, you know, just chilling for a second. Nope. Instead, it decided to do that thing where it goes full-speed ahead, dipping a casual toe into my fourth novel before I could even stop it.
Except it wasn’t just a toe. Oh, no. First came the title. Then, the cover concept. Then, an innocent little outline. Then—boom!—before I knew it, the prologue was fully written, and now we’re off to the races. How did we get here? No one knows. But here we are.
However, before you get too excited, I am not revealing the title or cover just yet. Not because I enjoy keeping secrets (okay, maybe a little), but because I refuse to tempt fate. Things could change, and besides—why steal the spotlight from Hey, Roomie! when it’s finally getting its time to shine?
Speaking of which, pre-orders for the e-book are live, and you can grab yours right here. The print version? Not quite yet. I need my proof copies to arrive so I can see if my little cover experiment turned out as beautifully as I imagine. Fingers crossed.
Oh, and one more thing—I’ve reinstated my Facebook author page! What will I be doing with it? Good question. TBD. But rest assured, as soon as I figure it out, you’ll be the first to know.
Until then, I’ll be over here, probably writing the next thing when I should be resting. Some habits die hard.
